i've finished college, for good. i had a pretty rough year and i should have been staying on for another year but i was really fed up with it and i have enough ucas points to apply to uni if i want. in the mean time i've been looking for jobs with horses, and i got this week's trial at saintwestwell stud in wales, and we drove down there on the monday, but by the end of the first day i hated it, and and i left on wednesday, because i was made to feel uncomfortable by the other staff there and the cottage that would have been my full time home was unclean, and it was about 8 miles either way to the nearest village, so it was really alienating, and i just could not picture myself working there long term. i have an interview on friday for a horse care apprenticeship, where i will do nvq levels 1-3, i think, learning on the job, and hopefully get some riding qualifications, so i'm not stuck mucking out stables for the rest of eternity. i've also been doing a voluntary exercising job at this andalusian yard in the village next to mine, a couple or few times a week, and i really like that, it's given me a chance to take some more photos and ride a bit, and there's a filly foal there at the moment who was born a couple of weeks ago and it will be nice to see her grow up a little.

so yeah, expect lots of horse photos i guess, and i hope you're all having a good summer.
